BCA Illustrated is launched by the Hendry Group, a national firm of building surveying consultants (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth), who deal in interpreting the BCA requirements on a daily basis.
Having trouble interpreting the BCA?
BCA Illustrated provides embedded links from BCA clauses to over 3000 illustrated explanations. Each explanation describes an issue, an interpretation and features resizable illustrations. BCA Illustrated has been specifically designed to help the user understand the BCA and comprehend various interpretations.
When is BCA Illustrated updated?
BCA Illustrated is continually being added to. We provide a major update in May each year in line with the ABCB amendments to the BCA.
How are the illustrations presented?
BCA Illustrated allows experienced professionals (and students) to effectively view various illustrations with issues, opinions and interpretations.
Each illustration is preceded by the clauses ‘Technical Provision’, followed by an issue which places the regulation in context for various opinions and interpretations to be explored.
An ‘Explanation’ of the issue is then provided. This explanation is to be read in conjunction with illustrations shown on the page.
Are there multiple clause illustrations?
A significant number of clauses have two, or more, illustrations on a single, or multiple pages. When this occurs you are presented with a menu guide to use the most appropriate explanation and illustration which meets your needs.
